POLICY:
The use of University academic and administrative buildings is primarily intended for educational pursuits. When not necessary for educationally related activity, University buildings and space therein may be used by groups and organizations in accordance with reasonable directives as to the time, place and manner.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for the use of academic and administrative buildings to assure an environment conducive to educational pursuits.
PROCEDURES:
- A. On-Campus Individuals, Groups & Organizations:
- Application for Permit
- All recognized university employee groups and recognized student organizations or clubs, or individual students and employees must obtain the appropriate event and space reservation forms from the Room
Reservations Office, UN 270 (818) 677-3284 . http://www.csun.edu/academic.affairs/room_reservations.htm.
- B. Off-Campus Individuals, Groups & Organizations:
- Application for Permit
- Individuals or clubs, groups, and organizations composed of members other than or in addition to students and university employees desiring to use campus facilities must contact The University Corporation Office, University
Licensing, (818) 677-2744 http://www.csun.edu/~vfoao0lc/.
- Note: Permits for use of the University Student Union and the Satellite Student Union http://usu.csun.edu/Default.htm may be obtained from Meeting
Services, USU Administration, 818-677-3644. Permits for the use of the residence halls may be obtained from Residential
Life and Conference Housing, 17950 Lassen St., 818-677-2160.
EXCLUSIONS:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Damage to University facilities, including that to buildings, furnishings and equipment therein, beyond normal wear and tear, shall be a remunerative responsibility of the person or persons responsible for the loss or damage. Loss or damage must be reported to the appropriate dean or area head.
The President's designee for the purpose of implementing this policy shall be the Vice President for Academic Affairs http://www.csun.edu/studentaffairs/,
the Director of Public Safety http://www-admn.csun.edu/police/ and
the Executive Director of Physical Plant Management http://www-admn.csun.edu/ppm/ are the President's designees for maintaining
campus grounds in a safe condition and form the issuance of policies and regulations deemed necessary for the maintenance
and continuance of such a posture.
