Fully Qualified Distinguished Name
|
FQDN is the only naming convention that can fully identify an object (your username) anywhere in the Novell Directory Services (NDS) Tree. An object's FQDN is a combination of the username (the object) and the name context (the location of your username). The "dot name syntax" requires a period to precede a FQDN. When a user enters an FQDN, the NDS client is instructed to disregard the object current name context. How do I determine my FQDN? While logged in on your office workstation press Control-Alt-Delete. The "*Novell Security" window appears. Look for the "*Netware Login Information" |
