HOW
TO DEFRAGMENT YOUR HARD DRIVE

These easy to follow steps will explain how to defragment your hard drive. It is recommended that you "defrag" your hard drive at least once a week. The reason is because over time, files get fragmented and this causes a slowdown in how they run. Defragmenting basically puts the files back in sequence so that they may run more efficiently. OK, on to the steps. 1. From the Start menu, go up to Programs.

2. From the Programs list, go to Diskeeper Lite, then over to Diskeeper Lite.

3. Once Diskeeper Lite opens, double click on "Defragment" as shown below.

4. Once the defragmentation is complete, you will see this screen. Just click OK.
