The CSUN CERT Council serves to administer, maintain, and strengthen the CSUN CERT team and to promote individual and
campus preparedness at California State University.
To fulfill its mission, the CSUN CERT council seeks to:
• Create and manage appropriate channels to ensure that CERT participants can communicate with one another in the event of a critical incident and obtain information about CSUN CERT activities
• Promote and increase campus and individual preparedness by gathering, disseminating, and presenting preparedness information to campus employees.
• Organize training and drills related to CSRT and individual and campus preparedness and safety.
• Promote and increase campus and individual preparedness by gathering, disseminating and presenting preparedness information to campus employees.
OBJECTIVES:
• Create CSUN CERT team phone tree and emergency pocket card communication system and test its use.
• Develop CSUN CERT web pages.
• Develop other channels to communicate with CSUN CERT team members.
• Promote CERT classes and CERT related training to CSUN employees.
• Provide preparedness and safety information and programming from expert sources to CSUN employees.
