MISCELLANEOUS

Fire Extinguishers:

PPM has responsibility for furnishing, maintaining, inspecting and replacing all fire extinguishers throughout the campus (except those installed for special applications). PPM also maintains the emergency fire sprinkler and standpipe systems in campus buildings.

Manufacturers equip fire extinguishers with gauges that show the state of its charge. If you see a fire extinguisher that needs recharging please the call Work Control Center at extension 2222 to report the problem.

PPM will supply fire extinguishers on a chargeback basis. Please consult Standard Cost listing under Mechanical Services for current pricing.

Roof Access:

For safety purposes and to keep warrantees intact, PPM must authorize all access to building roofs. Departments and/or individuals may not place equipment of any kind, including cameras, tripods, or antennae on any roof without authorization from PPM. PPM will dispose of unauthorized equipment placed on campus roofs.

Telephone and Computer Repairs:

PPM does not install or repair telephones, computers, computer-related equipment and/or network cabling. Please call IT-Helpdesk, ext. 1400 or send an email to help line@csun.edu.
