Services Include: Installing, repairing, replacing, re-keying, and maintaining campus locks and key's for doors, desks and cabinets. This also includes campus Omni locks, ADA accessible doors and door closer's.
The Lock shop provides professional and quality service to University faculty and staff for all lock and key requirements.
Departments must request keys by submitting a KLS Service Chargeback requisition via PeopleSoft. PPM will only issue keys to department heads and a signed hard copy of the authorization page must accompany the requisition and can be faxed to 4883. Because of the importance of campus security, only PPM may duplicate keys to University buildings and vehicles.
Only the PPM Lock Shop employees may change, modify or install locks on any University building. To request a lock change, please submit an online PPM Service Chargeback Requisition.
Organizations must submit a separate key request form before PPM will issue keys for new locks.
Unlocking Rooms:
During the academic year, PPM Facility Services employees unlock instructional space at the beginning of the day. If you find your room locked after this time, someone from your department has deemed it necessary to secure the room. Please contact your department office for access. Facility Services workers cannot unlock offices or other restricted - access areas. To unlock these rooms, you must contact your department for access to these areas.
