Physical Plant Management (PPM) is a service oriented department designed to meet the day to day operations and life cycle needs of California State University, Northridge. PPM has more than 20 shops and service areas supported by approximately 250 employees and 50 students. PPM employees range from highly skilled craftsperson's to student assistants. PPM uses its General Fund budget to perform routine maintenance and programmed maintenance. Services include, but are not limited to, the operation, maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, building systems and campus utilities. Other campus wide services include custodial cleaning, grounds landscaping, postal services, asset management, receiving, shipping and material distribution. In addition to General Fund work, PPM offers remodeling, renovation, modification services and automotive repairs, payable through the University Chargeback process.
