Emergency
"Blue Light" phones are highly visible and strategically located
on campus so you can easily summon help in the event of an emergency
(police/fire/medical). The phones are provided for the CSUN campus community
for your safety and are strictly for emergency use only - not routine
business.
To use an Emergency Blue Light phone, press the button, and a CSUN Police Department dispatcher will answer your call. (You do not need to hold the button down once you press it.) The phone is an automated, two-way communication device that will allow you to speak to the dispatcher and hear the dispatcher respond to you as well. When the dispatcher answers, please state the nature of the emergency and your location. If you forget where you are, there is location information printed on a plaque on each phone. Just read the location information to the dispatcher. REMEMBER TO STAY CALM AND HELP WILL ARRIVE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. |
