STUDENT PARKING PURCHASE
ONLINE CONVENIENCE:
You can avoid standing in line by purchasing your parking permit through the Student Center (SOLAR) for each fall and spring semester before classes begin.
Note: Use the SOLAR Student Center for registration, fee payment, and access to your academic, financial, and personal information. This includes the purchase of your CSUN Parking Permit. To learn more about the SOLAR Student Center, visit www.csun.edu/anr/soc/registration.html.
NEW STUDENTS:
To use the SOLAR Student Center, you must first activate your CSUN User ID and Password.
- Locate the Activate CSUN User ID and Password letter sent to you by the Office of Admissions and Records.
- Go to the myNorthridge Portal at www.csun.edu and enter your CSUN User ID and Initial Password in the login area at the top-right corner of the page.
Note: Please use Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 or higher, Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari. Other web browsers such as AOL, Netscape, or Internet Explorer for Mac are not fully compatible with the Web Portal.
- Follow the subsequest instructions to set up your account and e-mail preferences. For help with account activation, go to the University Help Desk.
PURCHASE YOUR PERMIT ONLINE:
If you have activated your CSUN User ID and Password, follow these steps to purchase a parking permit online:
- 1. Log into myNorthridge Portal with your CSUN User ID and Password.
- 2. In myNorthridge, under My Path to Graduation, click Student Center (SOLAR).
- 3. In the Student Center, go to the Finances section and click Purchase Parking Permit.
- 4. The Purchase Parking Permits Online and View Charges page then displays instructions and links to payment options.
To buy parking now, log into the myNorthridge Portal at www.csun.edu/.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
- ONLINE: Choose from two convenient payment options:
- 1. Electronic Check: (No convenience fee)
- 2. Credit Card: Mastercard, Discover/American Express (a 2.9% convenience fee is charged to the cardholder). VISA IS NOT ACCEPTED.
- Note: Be sure to select the correct parking permit online:
- 1. Student Permit: For campus vehicle parking; valid in all student lots on campus and the University Village Apartments (UVA), but not valid in residential/housing lots, or University PArk Apartments (UPA).
- 2. Residential/Housing Permit: For campus vehicle parking; valid in all student lots on campus and valid in residential/housing lots and University Park Apartments (UPA).
ONLINE PURCHASE AVAILABILITY:

UPDATE YOUR ADDRESS:
PARKING PERMITS PURCHASED ONLINE WILL BE MAILED TO YOUR ADDRESS ON RECORD IN THE STUDENT CENTER (SOLAR) ONE WEEK BEFORE THE SEMESTER BEGINS ON JANUARY 22, 2008. To update your address, log into the myNorthridge Portal, click Student Center (SOLAR), and edit your personal information.
IN PERSON:
Go to University Cash SErvices in the Bayramian Hall Lobby or to the Parking Office located on the corner of Prairie St. and Darby Ave. Being Cash, ATM/Debit Card, personal check or Money Order (credit cards are not accepted). You may purchase a permit in person at any time.
PARKING PERMIT DISPENSER LOCATIONS
PARKING PERMIT DISPENSERS ARE YELLOW IN COLOR. THE DAILY COST FOR A PARKING PERMIT IS $5.00 DOLLARS.

PARKING LOT B1 (2 Dispensers)- Parking permit dispenser # B1-001 is located inside the Southwest section of Lot B1. It is visible on your Left as you enter the first entrance to Lot B1.
- Parking permit dispenser # B1-002 is located in the Northeast section of Lot B1. It is located near the exit to Etiwanda Street.
PARKING STRUCTURE B3 (6 Dispensers)- Level 1 - Southeast Corner near the Elevator
- Level 2 - Southeast Corner near the Elevator
- Level 3- Southeast Corner near the Elevator
- Level 4- Southeast Corner near the Elevator
- Level 5- Southeast Corner near the Elevator
- Level 6- Southeast Corner near the Elevator
PARKING STRUCTURE B5 (4 Dispensers)- Level 1 - Southeast Corner near the Elevator
- Level 2 - Southeast Corner near the Elevator
- Level 3 - Southeast Corner near the Elevator
- Level 4 - Southeast Corner near the Elevator
PARKING LOT B6 (2 Dispensers)- Parking permit dispenser # B6-001 is located at the South end of Lot B6 near Plummer Street.
- Parking permit dispenser # B6-002 is located at the North end of the Foundation Operations Center in the middle of parking lot B6.
PARKING LOT E6 (2 Dispensers)- Parking permit dispenser # E6-001 is located at the Northeast corner of Lot E6.
- Parking permit dispenser # E6-002 is located at the South end of Lot E6 near Plummer Street.
PARKING LOT G3 (2 Dispensers)- Near the entrance to Faculty / Staff Parking Area.
- The East End of Lot G3.
PARKING LOT G4 (2 Dispensers)- Parking permit dispenser # G4-001 is located at the West end of Lot G4.
- Parking permit dispenser # G4-002 is located near the walkway at the rear of the University Student Union (USU).
PARKING LOT STRUCTURE G9 (1 Dispenser)- Parking permit dispenser # G4-001 is located at the entrance to the first level of Parking Structure G9.
Please call the Parking Office at (818) 677-2157 to report out-of-order Permit Dispensers.
