Campus Parking Permit Update for Fall 2008:

Link to the Faculty/Staff Parking Permit

All vehicles parking on the Cal State Northridge campus are required to display an appropriate campus parking permit. Students, faculty and staff are reminded that current annual or Fall 2007 semester permits must be displayed the first day of Fall 2008 classes. Parking on campus is provided seven days a week, 24 hours-a-day, and is enforced.

ARROW POINTING RIGHT REPOSITIONAL PERMITS:

Effective Fall 2006, Parking and Transportation Services began distributing “repositionable” parking permits for both ES (employee surface lots) and EB (employee surface lots and structures) permits. This transition was phased in throughout the year. Repositionable permits will replace all hangtag permits. This change is necessary as the University implements more advanced parking permit technology. The repositionable permits can be easily moved, because they do not use any adhesives or glues. To move these permits, lift any corner and gently pull away from the inside of the windshield. The proper location for displaying the repositionable permits is the lower front corner of the passenger's side interior windshield.

ARROW POINTING RIGHT MOTORCYCLE REGISTRATION:

Individuals parking motorcycles on campus are required to register these vehicles with the Parking and Transportation Services Office. A valid DMV registration for the motorcycle must be submitted for verification as part of the registration process. The registration process will take the place of motorcycle parking permits, which will no longer be issued.

Those who already have purchased a regular employee or student vehicle parking permit may register their motorcycle at no further charge by also presenting the valid parking permit at the time of registration. The motorcycle registration fee for those not having a regular campus vehicle parking permit is $41. This fee must be paid at the Parking Office, not at University Cash Services.

For additional information or questions, contact the Parking and Transportation Services Office in the Public Safety building, corner of Prairie and Darby streets or by calling (818) 677-2157 or by e-mail to parking@csun.edu.
