Payroll Accounts Receivables are overpayments made to an employee through the payroll system. Overpayments can occur for a variety of reasons including leave reported after cutoff, faculty time base changes, and changes made to benefits. In the event of overpayment, Government Code Section 19838 requires reimbursement to the State. Employees who are overpaid will receive a Notice of Overpayment from Payroll Administration which includes information on repayment arrangements.
