Absence Report
- Used internally by campus departments to report leave usage; modified to include furlough reporting.
Extra Hours Worked Authorization During Furlough Weeks
- During a furlough week, any hours worked over 32 (or over scheduled hours for part-time employees) are compensable and must be paid; all such extra hours must be pre-approved. These hours must be reported on this form.
Flexible Furlough Day Request Form (Staff and MPPs)
- Provided as an optional tool for departmental managers, this form may be used internally to record flexible furlough day requests.
Work Schedule Form
- Recommended to submit schedule changes due to furloughs. Department Coordinators/Timekeepers (those who manage schedules) may complete this form for employees on alternate or compressed work schedules as an alternative to the Action Request Form.

About the Series: RESPONDING TO A NEED
In the spirit of CSUN’s pledge to live a Culture of Caring, the Office of Human Resources is sponsoring a special workshop series that addresses the financial and emotional concerns of faculty and staff that have been, or fear they will be, impacted by the current economy. The series of eight workshops includes educational seminars and workshops, financial planning presentations, budgeting tools, problem-solving strategies, financial resources, and de-stressing techniques.

This session offers sound guidance and resources for both rethinking and reworking your game plan for today’s economy.
Workshop Goals and Objectives
Tom McCarron, Vice President for Administration and Finance and Chief Financial Officer, serves as a member of the CSUN Foundation Board of Directors and the CSU Investment Committee. Prior to his appointment, he was President and Executive Director of The University Corporation and North Campus Development Corporation. He holds an MBA from Pepperdine University.
William Jennings, Dean of the College of Business and Economics and Professor of Finance, serves on the board of directors for several profit and non-profit entities and also serves on the investment committee of the CSUN Foundation. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from UCLA.

Workshop Goals and Objectives
Lili came to CSUN in 1986 as the Scholarship Coordinator and moved up the ranks to become Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships in 2007. Lili has served in many leadership positions in California Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (CASFAA) and has been a frequent presenter at state and national conferences. All three of Lilli’s children have attended CSU Northridge. She can speak to this topic from both a professional and personal level.
