Fees
If you are enrolling as a new fee waiver participant, the university application fee of $55 will be waived. (Does not apply to Master Degree Program application fees.)
- All basic registration fees are mandatory. For more information go to: http://www.csun.edu/anr/AdmissionStatus.html.
- Nonresident and International students must pay the resident fees plus $372.00 per unit.
- Fees must be paid by the deadlines set by Admissions & Records and Cash Services. Your enrollment with the University may be cancelled if fees are not paid by the deadline.
- Lab fees are not waived.
- Fees waived for a spouse, registered domestic partner or dependent child that is taking graduate-level coursework (500 and 600 level) will be reported to the Controller's Office as taxable income. All coursework taken by a registered domestic partner through the fee waiver program, however, will be reported to the Controller's Office as taxable income. Deductions will appear on the December paycheck (November pay period) for fall enrollment and on the May paycheck (April pay period) for the spring enrollment.
- In accordance with the 2009 Executive Order No. 1042, the CSU has assessed a new Graduate Business Professional fee for Graduate Business Professional Programs. The fee is a per unit fee and is assessed in the amount of either $210 per semester or $140 per quarter unit. The Graduate Business Professional fee is in addition to any other applicable fee
The following employee groups are eligible to have the new Graduate Business Professional fee waived:
Faculty (Unit 3)
Academic Professionals (Unit 4)
CSUEU (Units 2,5,7,9)
All other employee groups and their eligible dependents are subject to the fee.

A graduate is defined as any student having already earned a bachelors degree.
