CSUN Award of Merit
Description:
The CSUN Award of Merit is presented to people who exemplify exceptional performance and demonstrate integrity and service to the university community.
Up to ten staff members and/or administrators will be honored.
Criteria:
Nominations should provide specific examples of how the nominee has achieved the following:
- Sustained outstanding performance over a significant period of time; top divisional performer.
- Contributes to the improvement of existing processes or the development of new ones, which results in significant productivity gains and/or cost savings to a department, division, or the university.
- Citizenship to the university and local community demonstrated by service to others and through successful involvement in Division initiatives aligned with the university goals and objectives.
Eligibility:
Recipients will be regular full- or part-time staff members and/or administrators of the university. Previous recipients are again eligible for the Award of Merit upon completion of a 5-year waiting period.
Award:
Award of Merit recipients will receive a $200 cash award and a framed certificate. They will be honored at the annual Staff Service and Excellence Recognition event, celebrated in their departments and recognized in the @CSUN newsletter.
