2013 Staff Service Awards and Recognition of Excellence Awards Event -

Human Resources is proud to have hosted the 47th annual CSU Northridge Staff Service Awards and Recognition of Excellence Awards event on Thursday, May 30, 2013. Approximately 270 staff were recognized for having achieved five year milestones in their service, representing more than 3,250 years of combined service! Please view the 47th Annual Staff Service Awards Program to view the complete list of colleagues recognized this year for their service, and all those nominated for recognition of excellence.

- Presidential Award -

We are pleased to announce the selection of Marcia Rea of the Center for Teaching and Learning as this year's Presidential Award recipient.

Marcia's 32 year career on campus in Student Housing, the Department of Special Education and now the Center for Teaching and Learning represents a long body of work that has left an indelible mark on the university.


William Taylor and President Dianne F. Harrison

- Alumni Relations Award -

William Taylor is the recipient of CSUN's inaugural Alumni Relations Award. Bill is a staff Public Affairs and Communication Specialist and faculty member in the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, & Communications' Theatre Department.

Throughout his nearly 30 year career on campus, Bill has worked to bring alumni back to the campus to keep them engaged in their theatre roots. Bill is known for building relationships with alumni and matching them with opportunities to speak or visit the campus for performances.

University Counseling Center's "The Blues Project" -

blues project logoThe University Counseling Center is pleased to announce a new public service announcement (PSA) developed through CSUN´s The Blues Project - a Campus Peer Education Volunteer Program. The CSUN specific PSA on depression and stigma is a valuable resource for students, staff and faculty.
