| Duties: | |
Under general direction of the Senior Director of Academic Technology this hands-on manager assists faculty in the design and creation of instructional materials using web, video, and multimedia tools. Manages unit responsible for learning management system (WebCT), web conferencing application (Elluminate), video production and related instructional technologies; and designs and develops instructional materials and applications. Performs other duties as assigned. |

| Qualifications: | |
| Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in media studies, instructional technology, graphic design or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Equivalent to five years of full-time work experience in instructional technology/media production environment and/or a related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Experience developing educational video and multimedia applications in higher education preferred. Teaching experience desired. The selected candidate must pass a fingerprint clearance. | |
| Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities: | |
Thorough knowledge of: instructional design principles; accessibility requirements and tools; emerging technologies; and authoring tools, web-based multimedia, including video production, editing, and streaming. Ability and specialized skills to: supervise and lead in managing multimedia, graphics and programming staff; organize workflow and priorities; operate PC and MAC personal computers, cameras, digital editing systems, learning management systems, multimedia applications and digital graphics applications; and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of the campus community. |
