The Position
of Associate Vice President of Development: |
|
California State University, Northridge (CSUN), seeks a strategic and analytical Associate Vice President of Development who is committed to the University’s goal of educating a diverse group of students and preparing them to be productive and learned citizens. The AVP will work in conjunction with development staff members and deans to formulate fundraising strategies for the individual colleges, schools and units at the University; recruit, manage and mentor a team of fundraisers; and collaborate with the Vice President of University Advancement in setting the overall strategic direction of fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of progressively responsible experience building and managing fundraising programs, preferably in higher education; strong analytical skills and demonstrated competence in designing, planning and managing successful fundraising plans; and strong supervisory and personnel management skills. This is a unique opportunity to partner with an esteemed leader in the field of higher education and serve as an architect and builder of a development program at one of the nation’s leading public universities. Together with the Vice President, the AVP will engage the University’s various constituencies at an increasingly deep and meaningful level as well as identify the next generation of supporters. |
