SALARY/TIMEBASE: $3060–4590 mo./full-time 
GENERAL INFORMATION: Temporary – renewable, end date to be determined 
Duties:
Under general supervision, performs activities related to the research, analysis, timely processing and data entry of a full range of personnel related transactions for staff, faculty and student employees.  Manages high volume transactional processing, changes and corrections in the PeopleSoft Human Resources (HR) system.  Performs auditing measures ensuring compliance and data integrity.  Works collaboratively with internal Human Resources units, Faculty Affairs and other campus departments and employees to obtain source documentation, ensure data accuracy and resolve processing problems. Understands and independently applies complex state, federal and educational administrative policies and procedures.  Assists in departmental change initiatives and process improvement efforts and performs other duties as assigned. 
Qualifications:
Minimal two years of full-time Human Resource experience including preparation and processing of large volume personnel documents.  Experience with an HRIS system preferred.  Experience in a university or public sector environment, and/or knowledge of PeopleSoft is highly desirable. 
Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of: methods and procedures relative to entering and reconciling employee transactional data.  Ability and specialized skills to: investigate and analyze problems; coordinate and perform a variety of functions; explore solutions and apply sound judgment; work independently and plan ahead; communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others at all levels; establish excellent customer relations. Ability to present complex concepts and analyses to make constructive recommendations for modifications or enhancements to existing procedures, techniques, or processes.  Ability to independently read and correctly interpret rules and regulations of considerable complexity including bargaining contract provisions pertaining to personnel administration and to apply them appropriately to specific processing cases.  Able to troubleshoot automated system problems; demonstrate commitment to excellence and high standards; versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Demonstrated proficiency in Office Suite or other business software applications.
