| Duties: | |
Under general supervision, is responsible for disseminating confidential information regarding testing programs and their requirements. Answers telephone and inquiries regarding tests and services; schedules appointments, and makes referrals to professional staff for questions regarding office policies, test selection, career counseling, and exam analysis interpretation. Scores and creates data analysis of tests using ScanTron scoring equipment; proctors tests in office; compiles student registration and payments for tests; and orders test applications, brochures, supplies, materials, and maintains adequate inventory. Provides psychometric tests for students upon request; maintains and services fax, printer and copy machines. Compiles studies and reports; monitors/orders department supplies and materials; compiles honoraria reports. Checks in and packages/repackages test materials which may require lifting boxes weighing up to 40 pounds. Operates utility cart to transport testing materials and performs other duties as assigned. |

| Qualifications: | |
| Equivalent to three years of full-time administrative work that has provided the applicant with the knowledge and abilities listed. College education/vocational school training in business or related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience. Type at a corrected rate of 45 wpm required. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. preferred. | |
| Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities: | |
Thorough knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling and punctuation, and office methods, procedures and practices. Ability and specialized skills to: learn, identify, and independently interpret and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures; coordinate many different clerical tasks, set priorities, and complete projects accordingly; clearly explain a variety of complex procedures and policies; independently draft and prepare clear and concise final form of memoranda and correspondence; keep moderately complex records and files; exercise a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; screen mail, telephone calls, and visitors, and maintain confidential files; establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and others; operate standard office machines and computers; and utilize standard office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel. |
