All of our initiatives are guided by the goals of the campus master plan and California State University, Northridge's five priorities for achieving its mission, vision and values:
- Improve graduation rates
- Strengthen the connection between the University and the community, as well as relationships within the campus community.
- Become more user-friendly

We strive to maximize facility utilization and work aggressively to improve the physical campus environment. Maintaining and enhancing the pedestrian nature of the campus core is a key focus of the capital planning process. We endeavor to create meaningful spaces for student gathering, study, events and formal instruction through the careful siting of buildings, courtyards and landscape enhancements.
We are committed to excellence in the design, construction and maintenance of sustainable campus facilities, within stringent budget requirements.
We are further committed to providing innovative solutions that support improvement and growth of academic facilities, student and faculty housing, student support and social facilities, athletic and recreational facilities, transportation facilities, and accessibility.
